Head Start offers parents opportunities and support for growth, so that they can identify their own strengths, needs and interests, and find their own solutions. Parents are considered to be the child's first and primary teacher. They are an important part of our program. They assist not only in the classroom, but are members of the program planning committees and have shared decision-making responsibilities. Parents have employment and education opportunities available to them. There is a substitute teacher training program open to parents to attend.
